It Worked Once, Let's Try It Again
Despite the bearish start today, this did not seem to be particularly bearish. The SPX bounced repeatedly off the 1310 level, breaking it once briefly before shooting back up. I wasn't terribly shocked by the buying late in the afternoon, but I was surprised to hear that CNBC floated the same old Ambac rumor today. Somebody at CNBC must be looking at charts, because the have timeds their "news" to coincide with key technical levels in the market. Anyway, we are still safely above the low close at 1310. [...]
