EXPO
Here is a good example of a cup with high handle. William O'Neill prefers to set the buy point at 10 cents above the high of the handle, so the buy point here was 32.00. Volume was not very good today.
My Shopping Trips for The Week
It's Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom . I went grocery shopping yesterday. I stocked up on some things we needed. It was not a great week for sales, but I did find two good deals this week at ACME Markets - including a freebie. These sale prices are good until 4/17. I got the Ronzoni Smart Taste Paste free. It was on sale for $1.00 and using my $1.00 coupon from the 2/17 coupon insert, I got it free. The Fudge Shop Cookies were on sale and after my double coupon, I got them for about .60 cents. [...]
Holy Sh@t, I made some money yesterday
Ah money, the love of which is the root of all evil. I sure could use more of that kind of loving! As promised, I am updating you on the various design elements I’ve put onto the blog. My experiments in money making have been humourous to say the least. Now I know I’ve not been blogging very long and the results are never good at first. This all started when a customer asked me whether all the “You can make $” promises were true, I decided to explore the issue. Some are serious [...]

TreeHugger: IKEA Bans Plastic Bags for Good
from TreeHugger Almost two years ago, IKEA announced it was going to start charging for plastic bags in the UK; then we heard that IKEA US was following suit by charging five cents per plastic bag. Soon after, that news was followed by a plastic bag ban in their UK stores, so perhaps the latest from [...]
Shopping Updates
I told you how I thought this week's CVS ad didn't have many good deals in it, well I did take advantage of the scenario: 4 Packs of Pepsi 1 - 8 Pack of Basic Paper Towels = $16.99 Use 5 off 15 Use 1 off Basic Towels Use (4) $2.00 of any Pepsi Product coupon ( Coupons from the Pepsi Superbowl Rebate ) Pay $2.99 and get $3.00 back .01 profit! And then we did pop in Office Max on Sunday. It took about five minutes and we did it in the afternoon before we headed out to our families house. I spent .80 cents and [...]
Frugal Friday: Pre-Portioning & Freezing Meat
It's Frugal Friday at Crystal's site . I wanted to share how we save on buying meat. Whenever I see a good price on meat at the grocery store, I stock up. Like I've mentioned before, I will jump from store to store each week based on whoever has the best deal. ( By the way, Superfresh has pork chops on sale for .99 cents a pound this week, I will totally be getting some of those!) Anyway, when I see a great deal on chicken or pork or ground beef, I get it. Because I buy in bulk when things are at very low [...]
Conspiracy Shirts
And I thought I had seen everything... I just stumbled upon this t-shirt shop which sells, believe it or not, conspiracy t-shirts! Yep, you heard it! We've seen a lot of shops selling political, anti-war, anti-Bush t-shirts etc, but this one specializes in conspiracy. Here you'll find designs about conspiracy theories you didn't even know they existed! The cool thing about the store is that lots of the designs are actually pretty good and, for a change, very very reasonably priced (not to say cheap). Also, [...]
Oh my poor, poor readers
My poor audience. Its so hard readjusting to a new location isn’t it? Like my new home? Apologies for the links that don’t work. This is still a work in progress. Anyway, thought I’d update you on the site. As you have seen, there is new stuff hanging around the edges of the page. Sorry - I’m experimenting with the various tools out there to help bloggers, plus I’m fooling around with the “make $” widgets. Hee hee… so far I’ve made a whopping .11 cents. [...]
Dollars & Cents of Off-Shore Manufacturing
When we look at country-of-origin labels for so many garments, Nordic Walking poles and other products, we often read China, Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Pakistan and other countries in Asia. Ever wonder how great the cost savings are to North American firms that outsource their manufacturing? I have, and a dramatic example comes in an E-mail that I received, for some reason, from a Chinese company that I think is called TeamTextile."With our well experience in textile industry, we can turn your ideas into [...]
