Buda - Hills’ View

En Budapest Daily Photo Published 8 days and 16 hours and 14 minutes ago.

Since my colleague is an expat from Spain, he was given a lot of perks, amongst which is the Buda view. In Budapest, the Buda side takes up one third of Budapest and it has a beautiful view. Hilly and wooded, it lies on the western side of the Danube. One of my favourite exploration [...]

Results Are Enhanced Life Experiences

What does the word ?failure? mean to you? I have found that there is a major semantical difference between definitions of this word. That difference can make a huge impact on how you live your life. The first view is an unfortunate idea at best. This view would define failure as ?an end at which you have not obtained your objective?. I used to be one of the people who actually looked at failure that way. It is a sad place to be! Can you imagine someone who has failed yelling ?Yes, I have failed! [...]

En Paris 2e Published 17 days and 15 hours and 58 minutes ago.

H ow long will we have to wait until Paris is finally google-able on street view? Reports of Google cars in the streets of Paris became frequent since last October, but so far no news from Google on when the first European cities will finally make their appearance ... Let*s hope the below picture will soon become a frequent view for our fellow googlers from around the world! [...]

He Sank Beneath Your Wisdom Like a Stone Argument/discussion between atheists and religionists is a tedious exercise in futility and one that I normally try to avoid. The two parties find themselves comparing apples and oranges, the atheist argues from a fixed point of what is known and the religionist from a point of faith. The atheist point of what is known is a bleak view for the faithful used to suffering in the hope of eternal reward. The point of faith will drive an atheist insane with frustration, [...]

Brain Wash We bring you paper and paste and indelible waste, contracts to sign before we run out of time – the ink from our pens runs dry at the bends where the u-tube obscures our view of what’s pure and the kiss implanted with collagen by con men won’t belay the morning or the moorings un-cast in the glass of tomorrow where nothing will last and the threads of grey time in the nest of my goatee writhe in delight at the passing of prime. The better we get the more we regret the way of the world and [...]

Satellite Maps

En SarahInTampa Published 4 days and 21 hours and 12 minutes ago.

When I'm going somewhere for the first time, I'll search online to get the directions. And since satellite imagery became available, it's nice to be able to get a bird's eye view of where you are going as well. Of course, Google has Street View in some areas, but more than likely, it's not available for your city yet. So, in the meantime, I found the "Bird's Eye View" feature at maps.live.com pretty useful. Here are some screenshots of my search for "downtown Tampa". Can you tell which one I found more [...]
